Part 1: teenagers. | Part 2: parents and teachers
Part 1: I was sent a quote recently. "This is not the year to get everything you want. This is the year to appreciate everything you have". It's rather fitting for the times we are in, because adjusting your lens to see what good we have around us, can helps to be better people around those who surround us and if done regularly it can become a community lasting contagion. Uncertain or just mundane, pandemic conditions do not make a fertile landscape for thankfulness. But gratitude is one of the tools we can use in both of these situations. When we give thanks for everyday things, we make them visible again, being able to find the good around the bad. When we’re able to do that, numerous studies suggest, we give our happiness a little boost and train our brains to see the good, even amid so much bad. Do you think being happy leads us to being grateful or being grateful leads us to joy? Listen to our episode and do share your feedback with us. abiteintolife@gmail.com
Wishing all those listeners celebrating, a very Happy Thanksgiving!
Part 2: Do you know the benefits of gratitude? What feeling does it give you to hear one of your children or students tell you something that is important to him or her? And if, for a moment, I ask you again to remember what you were like at the age of your children or students, surely there were some people who motivated you and pushed you forward. Your parents, your friends, your mentors, your teachers.
We do not get to where we are alone.
Fortunately, we surround ourselves with people who motivate us and who we always remember for HOW they made us feel in that talk, in that class, or at any other moment in our lives. In challenging or uncertain moments, when we are already training our brain to focus on what we do have around us, what we do enjoy, what we do have, the complaint is left behind and individual responsibility and strength increase. by taking the mental and emotional reins. Today, which coincidentally coincides with Thanksgiving in North America, we want to talk to you about the proven benefits of gratitude and how they can boost you in your life, do you know them?
And Happy Thanksgiving to all of you who celebrate it!
