In this episode of Nine to Life, we have the pleasure of interviewing Ontatile Molefe, a Mom Influencer, as we delve into the evolving world of the influencing profession. As moms ourselves,our goal as influencers is to provide relatable experiences and create a platform for other moms todiscuss their challenges. We firmly believe that motherhood is not just a job, but a calling.
Onthatile shares her personal journey into motherhood and how it quickly became her top priority. We then explore the joy and fulfillment that hobbies can bring, as well as the importance of using our influence for positive change. We emphasize the significance of staying true to our values and only endorsing brands that align with our beliefs. We make a point to address the misconception that being an influencer is solely about materialism. Instead, we highlight the need to balance financial gain with maintaining our integrity.
During the conversation, I open up about my own experience of initially pursuing a career as a lawyer before realizing it didn't align with my values. This led me to the world of influencing and eventually establishing our non-profit organization, which focuses on recommending products to young moms.
We passionately discuss the necessity of safe spaces for moms to openly discuss parenting and challenge traditional methods. We highlight the importance of conscious parenting, effective communication, and understanding our child's perspective. There is a thought-provoking discussion on the use of corporal punishment and an emphasis on the importance of providing authentic content to our audience.
We also shed light on our agency, Femme Society, where we support and educate aspiring mom influencers. We delve into the challenges of balancing motherhood with our roles as influencers and how our daily lives have transformed since entering this profession. Maintaining privacy for our children while still including them in our content is a topic we address. Furthermore, we touch on the significance of having more dad influencers and the impact they can have on encouraging emotional expression in men.
Moving forward, we examine the future of mom influencers and potential brand collaborations. We highlight the financial potential of being a mom influencer and encourage our audience to consider it as a viable career option. In the ever-changing landscape of media consumption, we stress the importance of sharing memories of our children.
To end, we shift our focus to staying on top of our game and remaining true to ourselves.
