Panel Discussion Topic: Improving access to market and funding for local SMMEs across key economic sectors (manufacturing, wholesale and retail trade, financial services, transport, construction, mining, agriculture, tourism etc)
Preamble: Local SMMEs are significant components of the economy that provide employment, livelihoods and income for millions of workers and business owners. The SMME ecosystem however, has largely not been given adequate support by economic development agencies and policy-makers in South Africa. Key stakeholders will discuss and commit to increasing collaborative efforts to improve access to local, regional and continental market for provincial based SMMEs. This session seeks to see active commitment and timely deliverables by participating key stakeholders.
