Because God rules over all, He shows us how to treat others.

In today’s 5-Minute Daily Devotional, we reflect on 1 Peter 2:17, where we’re commanded to: “Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor.”

This command is grounded in Zechariah 12:1, which reminds us that the Lord who stretched out the heavens and formed the human spirit is the One who calls us to live this way.

It’s not our job to fix the world in our own strength — it’s our job to obey God by respecting people, loving fellow believers, honoring leaders, and living in reverence to Him.
