For the third episode of 400 Floor we talk to John Elliott (Emeralds / Imaginary Softwoods / Spectrum Spools) and Nina’s CEO, Mike Pollard (Arbor / Treetops / Pale Blue Sky), two old friends and movers in the early ‘00s Midwest underground electronic music scene. We talk about their histories, both having run important labels that helped launch the careers of numerous artists, and the changes that they experienced in the scene, particularly with the advent of web 2.0, social media and smartphones.
