Wednesday 2nd October 2024 Armidale Bowling Club 5.30 – 7.00 pm All questions from the floor Folowing the rise of ISIS in Iraq and elsewhere in the Middle East in 2014, many Ezidi people were displaced as they fled fom the terror that took over their homelands. The genocide carried out by Islamic State saw over 5,000 Ezidis kiled and thousands of Ezidi women and girls forced into sexual slavery. More than 500,000 Ezidis found refuge in camps. Thousands have now been resettled around the world including Australia. How has Ezidi settlement in Armidale over the past five years progressed?
