EP. 43 - Indo-Club: The Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan

Hey there Peaches!

In this week's episode, we discussed our book of the month: The Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan. Originally published in 1989, the novel focuses on four Chinese American immigrant families living in San Francisco. The four Chinese mothers started a club where they meet weekly to play mahjong and shared stories of what they left behind in China. United in loss and new hope for their daughters' futures, they call themselves the Joy Luck Club. Through a series of sixteen vignettes, Amy Tan perfectly portrayed the cultural conflict and often-rocky relationships between mothers and their first generation Chinese American daughters.

This week we attended our first MLB game at Truist Park between the Atlanta Braves and Arizona Diamonbacks (ATL won 5-4! GO BRAVES!) The park was at 50% capacity and we had an amazing time. Tune in to find out what new business venture Mel got cooking up and what new Pet did Tiff's dad bring home.

We hope y'all enjoy this episode as much as we enjoyed making it!

Love you all so MUCHO GRANDE!

Tiff & Mel
