Today we took a look at one of the most anticipated movies of the year (and in recent memory), Wicked! Wicked is a 2024 musical fantasy film based on the musical of the same name. Wicked takes place decades before the events of ‘The Wizard of Oz’ and follows the story of Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) and Glinda (Ariana Grande) before they become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good, respectively. Wicked was directed by Jon M. Chu with music by Stephen Schwartz, with the film covering just the first act of the musical’s story.
