Welcome! In this episode of the 180 Turning Lives Around Podcast with Liz Graham, navigating the judicial system can be overwhelming, even for professionals who are regularly in court. With that in mind, the Monmouth County Family Justice Center offers coordinated services for survivors of domestic and sexual violence, child abuse, and human trafficking. And today, we explore how 180 taps into this resource to help meet the needs of our Survivors with Chris McNally-Brooks, our Victim Advocacy Specialist.

Also this month, we’re excited to bring three workshops to Monmouth University this fall on safe relationships, healthy love, and setting boundaries. The events at the Student Center are free of charge and open to all of the University’s community.

Plus, ICYMI, on the last episode of the 180 Turning Lives Around Podcast, we had a great discussion with Trisha Behrens, the Co-Director of New Jersey’s only multi-service program geared toward 10-to-24-year-olds in need. Welcome! She shares how the dynamic 2NDFLOOR initiative has evolved over the years. It’s a helpline, an app, a website AND most importantly a critical resource powered by 180 that has touched the lives of more than a million people.

Also this month, the 21st annual Ms. Race Regatta was a true tour de force on Sandy Hook Bay on Aug. 16 as teams competed in this incredible competition and fundraiser for 180. The winner was the sailboat MAGIC. A huge congratulations to its all-female crew!
