Things are heating up for episode 2. Both Steve and I agree that Barbara and Andy Muschietti have only stepped up their game in this next chapter. With only eight episodes to play with, they are already putting together the mechanics that will converge plotlines into a climactic conclusion. In addition, the horror scenes that Ronnie and Lilly survive are lengthy, terrifying, and reflective of their real-world guilt.
After a brief recap, we discuss Easter eggs, character arcs, the two scare scenes, our favorite characters, and top scenes. Both of us rated this episode 4 out of 5 turtles.
Steve Barnes is guitarist for stoner metal band Introvoid, and also plays guitar for the cover band Rebecca Crow. All of Steve's stuff can be found at Sweetchildoftime.com.

Sweet Child of Time Presents: 100 Years of Solitude Episode 1 Recap: Macondo
We began our recaps of the Colombian Netflix series, 100 Years of Solitude, adapted from the renowned magical realism novel by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. It covers the seven generations of the Buendia family in the town of Macondo. In this first episode, we explore the rocky roots of the marriage between Jose Arcadio Buendia and Ursula, establish how the town of Macondo was founded and discovered, and find out that our main character is Aureliano Buendia, who is facing a firing squad and remembering the day he discovered ice.
We also speculate on what the story might be saying about connection, isolation, and politics in the world of Colombia.
