博多南線は新幹線の車両基地がある博多南まで、新幹線が普通列車として運転されている珍しい一駅だけの区間です。車両基地付近の人口が増えて、住民の要望から基地の入口に博多南駅が開設されて地域住民の交通手段となりました。収録した列車（P8編成 125-3759)は、現在退役している第2世代の100系新幹線です。
The Hakata-Minami Line is a rare section of only one station where the Shinkansen is operated as a regular train to Hakata-Minami, where the Shinkansen depot is located. As the population near the depot increased, Hakata-Minami Station was opened at the entrance of the depot at the request of the residents and became a means of transportation for local residents. The recorded train (P8 formation 125-3759) is a second-generation 100-type Shinkansen that is currently retired.
