- 邱吉爾有收藏珍禽異獸的喜好，曾在1943年向澳洲官員提出，想要6隻鴨咀獸。 - 雖然當時澳洲已禁止出口鴨咀獸，但隨著二戰太平洋戰事不斷擴大，澳洲政府覺得被宗主國英國忘卻，很希望討好(curry favour)邱吉爾，換取一點支持。 - 最終在保育專家的堅持下，由6隻減少到1隻，並取名為Winston Churchill。 - Winston踏上為期45日的旅程，跨越太平洋，經巴拿馬運河，再橫越大西洋送往英國。但卻在抵達前兩日死亡。 - 由於擔心引起公眾不滿，當局指運送途中遇到德軍襲擊，...
