勞思光（1927-2012），湖南長沙人，於北京大學哲學系、台灣大學哲學系受教，1955年來港，先後於珠海書院、崇基學院、中文大學教授哲學，著作包括《新編中國哲學史》。自言自己是一位批判者：哲學批判、社會政治批判、文化批判。關心政治發展，八十年代曾組成「前景社」，探討香港前途。
