四王寺山の一番高い所、大城山の山頂近くには毘沙門堂があります。
ここに宇美町の民俗文化財に指定された行事が残っています。
それは「毘沙門詣り」というもので、正月３日参拝の方がお堂の前に置かれたお賽銭を借りて帰り、その翌年、前の年に借りたお賽銭の倍額を返し、また新しいお賽銭を借りて返すという行事です。
このお詣りを繰り返すと一年間お金に不自由しないんだそうです。
