Kaz Otsubo is a lifelong angler and the owner of The Fishing Wiki, the go-to place for Oceans Legacy gear in New Zealand. Born and raised in Japan, Kaz grew up fishing rivers and harbours with a bamboo rod and tiny hooks, developing an early obsession that never left him.
After moving to New Zealand, he discovered the incredibleoffshore fishery here and fell in love with slow pitch jigging—a technique that changed the way he thought about targeting snapper, kingfish and more.
