“我們偶爾會為了工作而離家。那是我們第一次參與那麼大型的巡迴演唱會， 所以大部份的時間都跟著團隊到處飛，壓力更是有增無減的。某天晚上結束排練後，在飯店哼唱出 "I'm coming home..." ，隨著想家的心情，創作了這首歌。聽著/唱著《別走遠了》的心情是複雜的。在外頭工作固然是自己的選擇，也是給自己的挑戰；必定有艱辛，也有想家的時候。我們都是秉持著家人的愛才有勇氣走遠的小孩。 "I'm coming home" 不僅是對家人的承諾，也是給自己的鼓勵。
