Dialogue with a “Good 100” global citizen. With all pride, Rachel was hired as an Administrative Officer (AO), the role that most of our nowadays city leaders started with, at the government in 1989. Unlike many civil servants who serve the job for lifetime, Rachel left the system in early 2000s to become a freelance Consultant and NGO leader, hoping to push forward the private-public-partnership (PPP) agenda for the city. She guided us through her early day AO journey, her biggest takeaways and how she will re-do the career choice if she were fresh again. She also spoke how she survived through the gig economy and examples of PPP model and formula she managed to replicate to government organizations through private sector success case study the past years.
