As the leader of his hospital's EMS, Dr. Sattha will share insights into Thailand's unique emergency medical services structure. Unlike Taiwan, where the EMS is integrated with the fire department, Thailand's system includes hospital-managed dispatch departments, public dispatch services, and private volunteer dispatch units. However, due to insufficient financial support for hospital-based dispatch, there has been a shift towards public dispatch systems. Dr. Sattha will discuss the challenges faced during this transition and the obstacles encountered in maintaining an effective EMS.
