Եղբոր հանդեպ ատելության պատճառները Կայենի սրտում։ «Եթե աշխարհը ձեզ ատում է, իմացե՛ք, որ նախ Ինձ է ատել» (Հովհ. ԺԵ 18)։ Տիրոջ համար ատելի երևույթները։ Ատել մեղքը, ոչ թե մարդուն։ Սերը և խոնարհությունն իբրև ատելությունը հեռու վանող առաքինություններ։ «Ով չի սիրում իր եղբորը, որին տեսնում է, չի կարող սիրել Աստծուն, որին չի տեսել» (Ա Հովհ. Դ 20)։

Causes of Cain’s hatred toward his brother. “If the world hates you, be aware that it hated Me before it hated you” (John 15:18). Phenomena hated by the Lord. Hate sins, not humans. Love and humility as virtues that drive hatred away. “Those who do not love their brother whom they can see, cannot love God whom they have not seen” (1 John 4:20).
