केनोपनिषद सनातन धर्म का एक मूलभूत ग्रन्थ है जो उसका अद्भुत विवरण प्रदान करता है जिसे शब्दों में व्यक्त नहीं किया जा सकता। यह सामवेद का भाग है और इसके चार खंड हैं। यह उपनिषद आरम्भ में निर्भीकता से कहता है कि कोई भी उसे पूर्णता में नहीं जान सकता जो सारे ज्ञान का स्रोत है। इसके पश्चात यह उपनिषद एक दृष्टांत के साथ सभी देवताओं पर उस ज्ञान के स्रोत की श्रेष्ठता की व्याख्या करता है और अंत में समाप्त होता है यह बता कर कि उपनिषद क्या है और कैसे हमें अमरता प्रदान करता है। यहां प्रस्तुत विचारों को समझना बहुत कठिन है, किन्तु इस ज्ञान को पचा लेने का पुरस्कार सर्वोच्च की प्राप्ति है। तो आइये उस सर्वोच्च की प्राप्ति की कामना के साथ केनोपनिषद का अध्ययन आरम्भ करते हैं। 

Kenopanishad is a fundamental text of Sanatana Dharma which provides wonderful description of it which cannot be expressed in words. It is part of the Samaveda and has four sections. This Upanishad begins by boldly saying that no one can fully know Him who is the source of all knowledge. The Upanishad then goes on to explain the supremacy of that source of knowledge over all the gods with an illustration and finally ends by telling what the Upanishad is and how it gives us immortality. The ideas presented here are very difficult to understand, but the reward for digesting this knowledge is the attainment of the Supreme. So let us begin the study of Kenopanishad with the desire to attain that Supreme.
