陳塵，從高中時期便開始自我探索，從表演藝術跨足到心理學、家族系統排列、身體經驗釋放及靜坐等領域。
身為優人神鼓創辦人劉若瑀的女兒，在成長的過程中，她得找出生命意義、活出可能性，而不被母親的影子所限制。
她和母親劉之間模糊界線，所帶來的，是一連串的挑戰與成長。透過榮格心理學中的「自我接納」，她學會擁抱陰影並建立界線，這也促進了與母親關係的鬆動與平衡。
此外，她參與了「優人八音」計畫，嘗試將優人神鼓的藝術與電子音樂結合，以吸引年輕世代觀眾。陳塵也發展了自己的教學與療癒體系，每個人，都是獨一無二的創作者。

「一個真正的表演者，是什麼？」陳塵曾受波蘭劇場大師果托夫斯基（Grotowski）嫡傳弟子Thomas Richards兩年訓練，奠基了於音樂、肢體、戲劇等方面的專業能力。
曾參與不少劇場創作，如蘭陵四十週年與母親劉若瑀同台、優人神鼓《諸神之鄉》、《與你共舞》等作品演出、張藝謀導演之演出巡迴等；亦發表許多自身戲劇與影像作品《Dr. Miss迷路小姐》、《閾門》、《小王子與野玫瑰》等。同時是位音樂人，出自對食物的愛與感動而自行譜寫填詞《謝飯歌》。

優人神鼓即以木柵老泉山「優人神鼓山上劇場」做為生活、訓練與創作的基地，造就優人神鼓聞名國際的穩定基礎。山的原始，其實就是「優人」作品中堅毅質樸的來源，而這座山也可以說是「優人」精神上的聖山。三十多來，優人神鼓之所以能夠創造出獨特的演出，乃由於所有的創作是建立在自然與本土文化的磐石上。
