克里斯與蘿絲相戀多年，終於到了該拜訪雙方家人的時候了。克里斯原本正擔憂自己的膚色會不被待見，沒想到蘿絲家中的園丁、女傭都是黑人，並且蘿絲的家人也對這些黑人很友善。然而漸漸地克里斯察覺到不對勁了，蘿絲家中的黑人總有些不自然的舉止，並且這些異樣也慢慢地發生在克里斯身上。
