In this episode, I met Jesse Jop Jorg, the founder of "WeTheCity," to discuss his ideas for various placemaking concepts, including events, community gatherings, and more, that spark imagination and transform how we use and understand the city. Jesse is fascinated by and plays with the idea of the city's algorithm, referring to how the hidden and sometimes transparent regulations of public space determine our behavior and use of it. He explores what can be done to experiment with and improve these regulations.
